  • Family Art Talk and Workshop with Nico Williams

    Find out how artist Nico Williams got into beading and hear about his stunning beaded sculptures. Then learn introduction techniques to peyote beading by following a simple bullseye pattern to make a sparkling beaded triangle.  This program is organized in collaboration with the American Indian Community House.

    Nico Williams has a multidisciplinary, often collaborative practice that is centered around sculptural beadwork. His sculptures are sometimes highly patterned abstract geometric forms, sometimes sparkling representations of familiar objects, and always hand-woven from hundreds of glass beads. Williams is a member of Aamjiwnaang First Nation (Anishinaabe) and lives and works in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, Canada.
