The date\, time\, and location of the hearing are as follows: \n\nDate: Wednesday\, December 6\, 2023\nTime: 6 p.m.\nWhere: Teleconference\, https://learndoe.org/districtplanning/.\n\nThis Joint Public Hearing will be an opportunity to learn more about potential changes to building M153\nand share feedback. \nThe NYCDOE is proposing to expand the grades served by The William Lynch School (06M368)\, referred to as Bill Lynch\, from a K-5 school to a K-8 school beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. Bill Lynch is a district elementary school currently serving students in grades K-5 as well as in 3-K and pre-Kindergarten (pre-K) programs in building M153. M153 is located at 1750 Amsterdam Avenue\, New York\, NY 10031 in Community School District 6\, referred to as District 6. Bill Lynch is currently co-located with P.S. 153 Adam Clayton Powell (06M153)\, referred to as P.S. 153\, a district elementary school serving students in grades K-5 as well as in 3-K and pre-K programs. M153 also houses the Community Based Organizations (CBOs) Boys and Girls Club of Harlem\, Harlem Dowling\, and The Harlem Hellfighters. \nIf this proposal is approved by the Panel for Educational Policy (PEP)\, Bill Lynch will expand to serve\ngrades K-8 as well as 3-K and pre-K programs.
