DESCRIPTION:PA Meeting 3/15/23 6:30pm \n \n\nAttendees:\n\n \n\n 	Yesenia Palonco (President)\n \n 	Rafael Landeiro (Secretary)\n \n 	Tina Matos (Parent Coordinator)\n \n 	Yessenia Murillo (Treasurer)\n \n 	Leslie Wells\n \n 	Sarah Heath\n \n 	Courtney Knights\n\n \n\nAgenda:\n\n \n\n 	Staff Appreciation Lunch Recap\n \n 	Title 1 Funding\n \n 	Goals\n \n 	Movie Night\n \n 	5th Grade Graduation Party:\n \n 	Early Education Program\n \n 	Cap & Gown\n \n 	Family Photo\n \n 	Scholastic Book Fair\n\n \n\nNotes:\n\n \n\nStaff Appreciation Lunch Recap\n\n \n\n 	School staff appreciated all the food contributions and donations provided.\n \n 	It was a large turnout with staff taking food home at the end.\n \n 	Thank you to all the parents who helped support.\n\n \n\nTitle 1 Funding\n\n \n\n 	Funding allowed for computer literacy and conversational English classes.\n \n 	Childcare will be provided for parents of PS153\n \n 	Extended family of PS153 parents can attend as well\n\n \n\nGoal\n\n \n\n 	PA has a goal to raise $500 in Q2 with the Family Movie Night\, Raffles\, and other programming\n\n \n\nFamily Movie Night:\n\n \n\n 	Credit cards will be accepted for admission and concession purchases\n \n 	Volunteers are needed to help with tickets and concessions\n\n 	Volunteers should arrive by 4:30pm\n \n 	Leslie shared interesting in helping with her husband Will\n\n\n \n 	Tickets will be $10 for the whole family\n\n \n\nRaffle\n\n \n\n 	The PA to raffle 3 electronics devices\n\n 	2 laptops and 1 tablet\n\n\n \n 	Promotional flyers advertising the raffle will go out on Kinvo\, including photos of the devices.\n\n \n\nCap and Gown\n\n \n\n 	The PA plans to buy instead of renting the outfits\n \n 	PA considering fundraising raffle for 5th graders to help pay for the costs\n\n \n\nFamily Photo\n\n \n\n 	2 dates are being considered in Mid-may: 5/13 vs 5/20\, on a Saturday at the school\n \n 	PA selected ABC photo as the vendor\n\n \n\nGraduation photos\n\n \n\n 	PA investigating opportunity for graduation photos during the grade ceremony\n \n 	Can be option for fundraising by charging for photos\n \n 	POST MEETING NOTES: Plan was not approved due to staffing and security concerns\n\n \n\nScholastic Book Fair\n\n \n\n 	Invited to the school for a fundraiser\n \n 	Each child to be given an online wallet to buy books\n \n 	Kids can collect money from multiple sources\n \n 	Planned towards end of April\n \n 	Open for all grades
