It’s Book Fair Time!
The PS153 Parents Association (PA) is thrilled to announce our upcoming Book Fair!
This year, we are excited to partner with Word Up Community Bookshop, a local neighborhood bookstore right here in our district. By shopping this fair, you aren’t just finding great new books for your children—you are also supporting a local small business and our school community!
When & Where
Dates: Wednesday, January 28th – Friday, January 30th

Shopping Schedule
- After Drop-off: Parents are welcome to stop by and shop the fair immediately following morning drop-off.
- During the School Day: Students will have the opportunity to visit the fair and shop with their class at a scheduled time.
- After School: The fair will remain open after school for parents and students to shop together and pick out a new favorite read.
- Curl-up With a Good Book Day! Save the date on Friday 1/30 for special events to celebrate our great books!
What’s New This Year?
We are making this fair our most inclusive one yet!
- Expanded Spanish Selection: We will have a much larger variety of Spanish-language books available for all reading levels.
- Raffle & Story Time: We will be hosting a Book Fair Raffle and a special Parent Story Time! Details on times and prizes are coming soon—stay tuned!
Payment Information
Please note that because we are working with a local vendor this year, there will be no eWallet option.
- Accepted Payments: Cash and Credit Cards only.
- Sales Tax: Please remember that sales tax will be added to all purchases.
- Support Your PA: A portion of all sales goes directly toward supporting the PA budget and our student programming throughout the year.
Please note that the PA is exploring an online payment option – more details to come.
Volunteers Needed!
We need your help to make this event a success! We are looking for parent volunteers to help students navigate the fair during the school day and assist with after-school shopping.
