    Parents Classroom WhatsApp Groups

    Join your child’s classroom WhatsApp group to stay connected with your families and learn about special events happening at PS153 and our community.

    Sign-up by sharing your information below and the PA will invite you to the group once it’s set-up.

    Are you interested in being a group leader? Let us know! Group leaders help moderate the group activity and collaborates with the PA on how to best support their classroom families.


  • PA Family Store

    PA Family Store

    The PA Family Store is a library of household goods, clothes, games, and books that accepts donations and allows families to borrow them.

    The store plans to open in the Spring of 2027. Until then, the PA is looking for donations to add to the store inventory. To contribute items bring them to a monthly PA meeting, or contact the PA for drop-off details.

    The PS153 PA is committed to supporting our families by providing high-quality resources and learning opportunities. We are excited to announce a partnership with the Center for Child & Parent Development (CCPD) to host a series of parent workshops.

    These workshops are completely free for all parents in our school community. To ensure we provide the sessions most relevant to your family’s needs, please review the options below and select the topics you are most interested in attending.

    Workshop Options:

    • Strong Start, Smart Habits: A Parent’s Guide to School-Year Success
      Parents discover how to create effective routines, sleep habits, and study spaces that set their child up for success.
    • Improving Your Child’s Study Skills
      Parents learn simple methods to help children stay organized, focused, and motivated at home.
    • Anger Management for Children (and Parents)
      Parents explore healthy ways to model calm and teach emotional control.
    • Saying No with Confidence: Setting Limits Without Guilt
      Parents learn how to set clear boundaries while maintaining connection.
    • Helping Children Develop Self-Reliance
      Step-by-step ways to encourage independence and confidence at every age.
    • Unplug to Reconnect: How to Set Healthy Screen Time Limits at Home
      Parents gain tools to restore balance and strengthen family connection.
    • Money Smarts: Building Confidence and Stability at Home
      Parents learn simple, realistic strategies for budgeting, saving, and long-term planning.

    To learn more about the workshops, join the monthly PA meeting on Friday January 16th when the final workshops will be chosen and scheduled.

    There is a book set for each grade.

    Tickets are $3; can be purchased at morning drop off Monday-Friday at the main entrance.

  • School Uniform Recycling Program

    School Uniform Recycling Program

    Please donate your gently used uniforms in the bins in 3-K/Pre-K & Main school entrance lobbies through Friday, January 23rd.

    We will sort, wash and fold them to give out during the Book Fair, subject to availability.

    Come check for your child’s size(s)!
